Avoid the penalties
You get a whole 9 months to file annual accounts at Companies House. It may seem like a long time but it soon comes around and many companies can find themselves working too close to the deadline to comply with the requirements.
The penalties for late filing are considerable. One day late at Companies House and the penalty is £150. Over a month late at you are going to pay a penalty of £375. While penalising you, they are also entitled to strike your company off.
That's the negative part. On the positive side, we at dd accounting services can ensure that your accounts are not only filed in compliance with the legal requirements but also to the best timetable suitable to your business.
If we are also providing you with a periodic management accounts service (see opposite), we can guarantee that your annual accounts will be ready for filing no later than 120 days after your year end date.
Your accounts also need to be provided to HMRC and your Corporation Tax paid by the same date. Check out here how we can assist you with this too.
Producing periodic management accounts, whether quarterly or monthly is an excellent way of keeping control of your business. The state of your company bank account is often the only indicator an owner-manager has of the state of their business and it is not necessarily the most accurate.
Periodic management accounts will give you a complete picture of the health of your company and can be produced in a regular and timely manner for you by dd accounting services.
If you are maintaining basic records yourself in cash books and/or spreadsheets, we can quickly convert these into a set of quarterly accounts that will give a clear picture of your profitability, your amounts owing from customers and what is owed to suppliers.
We can supplement this service with detailed financial and statistical analysis according to your own requirements enabling you to identify, for example, your most frequent and profitable customers and turnover with suppliers, always useful for negotiating or renewing terms of business
We can also deal with the detailed day to day recording of transactions for you. Click Bookkeeping to find out how.
